The production process of PPR pipe mainly includes the following steps:
- Raw material preparation: Add PPR pipe raw material (usually polypropylene random copolymer) into the hopper.
- Feeding: Feed the raw material into the barrel of the extruder by vacuum suction or manual feeding.
- Plasticization: Under the thrust and heat of the extruder screw, the raw material melts and plasticizes into a uniform flowing melt in the barrel.
- Extrusion: The melt is extruded from the extruder die by the thrust of the screw to form a tubular blank.
- Vacuum Shaping: The tubular blank is placed in a vacuum cooling tank or a water spray cooling tank for cooling and shaping, so that it is shaped into a pipe with a certain size and shape.
- Traction: The shaped pipe is pulled out at a specified speed by a traction machine.
- Cutting: Use a cutting machine to cut the pipe into the required size according to the specified length.
- Inspection: Perform appearance inspection, size inspection, performance inspection, etc. on the cut pipe, and pack it into the warehouse after passing the inspection.
The production process parameters of PPR pipes have a great influence on product quality, mainly including the following aspects:
- Screw speed
- Barrel temperature
- Mold temperature
- Tractionspeed
- Cooling temperature
Precautions for PPR pipe production process:
- During the production process, the quality of raw materials should be strictly controlled to prevent the use of raw materials with excessive impurity content.
- Equipment such as extruders and molds should be inspected and maintained regularly to ensure that the equipment is in good working condition.
- The monitoring of production process parameters should be strengthened, and parameters should be adjusted in time to ensure stable product quality.
- Product inspection should be done well and unqualified products shall not leave the factory.
