PVC Sheet Mold

PVC Sheet Mold is a tool used to produce edge banding sheets. It extrude molds molten plastic or other materials through a specific cavity shape and size to form edge banding sheets with precise specifications and shapes to meet the edge banding needs of different furniture, building materials and other industries.

Characteristics of PVC Sheet Mold:

1. High precision: It can accurately control the size and shape of the edge banding to ensure that the thickness and width tolerances of the product are within a very small range. The general thickness tolerance can be controlled within ±0.05mm and the width tolerance is within ±0.1mm to meet the strict requirements of edge banding precision in different furniture and other industries.

2. Good surface quality: The cavity surface of the mold is finely processed and polished, with low surface roughness, usually up to Ra0.4 – 0.8μm, so that the surface of the edge banding sheet produced is smooth and flat, without obvious defects, bubbles or flow marks, and has good gloss and texture.

3. Wear and corrosion resistance: It uses high-quality mold steel materials and undergoes heat treatment processes such as quenching, tempering, and nitriding to improve the hardness and wear resistance of the mold. The hardness of the general mold can reach HRC50 – 55, while enhancing its corrosion resistance, extending the service life of the mold and reducing production costs.

4. Efficient cooling system: The design has a reasonable cooling pipeline layout, which can achieve fast and uniform cooling, shorten the molding cycle, and improve production efficiency. By optimizing the cooling system, the edge banding sheet can be cooled and shaped in a shorter time, and the general molding cycle can be controlled between 30-60 seconds.

5. Flexible structural design: In order to adapt to the production of edge banding strips of different types and specifications, the mold usually adopts a modular and combined structural design. It is easy to replace different mold cores, inserts or adjust part of the mold structure to achieve the production of edge banding strips of different widths, thicknesses, and shapes, with strong versatility and flexibility.

6. High degree of automation: Equipped with automated demoulding mechanisms, feeding devices, etc., to reduce manual intervention, improve production stability and consistency, and also reduce labor intensity and production costs. Some advanced edge banding sheet molds can also be integrated with automated production lines to achieve fully automated production.
