PVC granulation line is the core equipment for recycling and processing of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. It converts PVC resin, additives and recycled waste into reusable granular raw materials through physical processing and is widely used in various links of the plastic industry chain.

PVC granulation line has the following characteristics:
High-efficiency plasticization
– The screw for the PVC granulation line has a unique design and good conveying and plasticizing capabilities, which can make the PVC raw materials achieve uniform plasticization in a shorter time and improve production efficiency. The production process of the PVC granulation line mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation
PVC resin, plasticizer, stabilizer, filler, etc. are mixed evenly in a certain proportion to make a mixture that meets the production requirements. For example, when producing soft PVC particles, the amount of plasticizer added will be relatively large; while when producing hard PVC particles, the amount of plasticizer will be reduced and the proportion of stabilizer and filler will be increased.
Feeding
The mixture is added to the hopper of the PVC granulation line through an automatic feeder or manually. The automatic feeder can improve the feeding efficiency and ensure the continuity and stability of the feeding.
Plasticizing extrusion
After the mixture in the hopper enters the barrel, it gradually heats up, softens, and melts and plasticizes under the combined action of the shear force, friction force, and external heating generated by the rotation of the screw. Different sections of the screw have different functions, such as the feeding section is responsible for conveying the material, the compression section compresses and preliminarily plasticizes the material, and the metering section ensures that the material is extruded evenly and stably. The molten PVC material is pushed to the die head by the screw.
Cooling and shaping
The PVC material extruded from the die head is in strip shape and is cooled and shaped by air cooling or water cooling. Air cooling uses the cold air blown by the fan to cool the material, while water cooling cools the material through a water tank. Water cooling has a faster cooling speed, but it is necessary to control the cooling water temperature to prevent defects on the surface of the material.
Pelletizing
The cooled PVC strip material enters the pelletizer and is cut into pellets of a certain length by a rotating cutter. There are two types of pelletizing: hot cutting and cold cutting. Hot cutting is cutting before the material is completely cooled after extrusion, which is suitable for soft PVC; cold cutting is cutting after the material is completely cooled, which is often used for hard PVC.
Screening and packaging
The cut PVC pellets are screened by a vibrating screen to separate the pellets that do not meet the particle size requirements and return them for reprocessing. Qualified pellets are packaged by a packaging machine for storage and transportation.
