Equipment composition of PS profile production line

  1. Extruder: It is the core equipment of the PS profile production line. Common ones include single-screw extruder and conical twin-screw extruder. The single-screw extruder has a simple structure and is suitable for extrusion molding of a variety of plastics; the conical twin-screw extruder has the characteristics of low shear rate, difficult material decomposition, uniform plasticizing and mixing, etc., which can better ensure product quality and production efficiency.
  2. Mold: It determines the shape and size of the profile. Different products need to replace the corresponding mold. The design and manufacturing accuracy of the mold have an important influence on the appearance quality and dimensional accuracy of the profile.
  3. Cooling and shaping table: It is used to cool and shape the extruded high-temperature profile to keep it in the required shape and size. Common cooling methods include air cooling, water cooling, etc. Some advanced cooling and shaping tables are also equipped with special cooling systems, such as vacuum cooling, etc., to improve the cooling effect and production efficiency of PS profile production line.
  4. Hauling machine: The function of the hauling machine is to pull the profile so that it moves forward evenly according to the set speed and tension, ensuring the continuity and stability of the production process. The speed of the traction machine can be adjusted according to production needs, and variable frequency speed regulation technology is usually used to achieve precise speed control.
  5. Cutter: Cut the continuously extruded profiles into the required length. The cutting accuracy and efficiency of the cutter directly affect the quality and production efficiency of the product. Common cutting methods include mechanical cutting, laser cutting, etc. Choose the appropriate cutting method according to different profile materials and sizes.
  6. Material rack: Used to store raw materials and finished profiles, facilitating material management and product stacking during the production process.
  7. Mixer: Mix different raw materials and additives in a certain proportion to make them evenly distributed, providing stable quality materials for extrusion molding.

PS Profile Production Process

Raw Material Preparation

Select suitable PS resin particles and add an appropriate amount of additives such as foaming agent, lubricant, and antioxidant according to the product performance requirements. Then put these raw materials into the mixer for full mixing so that the additives are evenly distributed in the PS resin.

Extrusion Molding

Add the mixed raw materials into the barrel of the extruder, and convey, compact, and plasticize the materials forward through the rotation of the screw. During the extrusion process, the raw materials gradually melt under high temperature and high pressure, and are extruded through the die to form the profile with the required shape.

Cooling and Shaping

The extruded high-temperature profile immediately enters the cooling and shaping table, where it is quickly cooled and shaped by cooling media such as air or water to maintain the profile shape and dimensional accuracy.

Traction Cutting

The shaped profile is pulled by the traction machine and moves evenly at the set speed. When the profile reaches the required length, the cutting machine automatically cuts it to obtain the finished profile.

Finished Product Processing

After cutting, the finished profile can be stored or shipped after inspection and packaging. The inspection mainly includes appearance quality, dimensional accuracy, and physical properties to ensure the product meets quality standards.
